Who we are and who this covers

RaveMenu is a Seapane product for creating, managing and sharing digital profile menus. This notice explains how we handle personal information when you visit ravemenu.com, contact us, request early access, or use a RaveMenu demonstration or preview.

The current Manager and account experiences are demonstrations. Menu, team, profile and preference changes made in those previews are saved in your browser's local storage; they are not sent to a RaveMenu account or synced to a live business profile.

Information we handle

Depending on how you use the site, this may include:

  • Contact and early access details: first and last name, email address, business name and type, selected plan, and any message you choose to send.
  • Messages to us: the details and attachments you provide when you contact the team, plus our replies.
  • Technical request information: information such as IP address, browser, device, and request time that may appear in hosting and security logs or be used briefly to limit abusive form submissions.
  • Preview information: sample or edited menu, team, profile and account preferences stored locally by your browser when you interact with the Manager or account demonstrations.

Please do not include sensitive personal information in a menu or message unless we specifically request it.

How and why we use information

We use information to:

  • reply to questions and provide requested early access updates;
  • understand business needs and prepare relevant onboarding;
  • operate, protect and improve the website and its demonstrations;
  • prevent spam, abuse, fraud and other security issues; and
  • meet legal obligations and handle or defend legal claims.

Where required, we rely on your consent. We may also process details to take steps you request before a service, to operate and secure the site in our legitimate interests, or to meet a legal obligation. You can withdraw consent at any time where processing relies on it; this does not affect processing already carried out.

When information is shared

We do not sell personal information. We may share the minimum information needed with service providers that host the site, protect it, or deliver messages you ask us to send. They may process information only to provide those services and under appropriate safeguards. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, to protect people or the service, or as part of a business reorganisation subject to applicable privacy protections.

Service providers may process information in Nigeria or another country. Where personal information is transferred across borders, we will use a transfer mechanism and protections required by applicable data protection law.

How long we keep it and how we protect it

We keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected, including handling your request, maintaining appropriate business records, meeting legal requirements, and resolving disputes. Local preview data remains in your browser until you clear that browser's site data or remove it within the preview.

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards for the information we handle. No website or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. If a personal data breach requires notification under applicable law, we will make the required notifications.

Your privacy rights

Depending on applicable law, you may ask to access or correct your personal information, request deletion or restriction, object to certain processing, receive a portable copy, or withdraw consent. These rights may be subject to legal conditions and exceptions.

To make a request, use our contact page and include enough information for us to understand and verify it. You may also lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

Cookies and browser storage

The Manager and account previews use browser local storage to remember demonstration changes and preferences. This storage is kept on your device and is separate from cookies. Clearing your browser's site data removes it and may reset the preview.

Our hosting or security providers may use strictly necessary technologies to deliver and protect the site. If we add optional analytics or advertising technologies, we will update this notice and provide choices where required by law.

Changes and contact

We may update this notice as RaveMenu develops or legal requirements change. The date at the top shows when the current version was last updated. If a change materially affects how we use information, we will take steps to make the change clear.

For privacy questions or requests, contact us through the RaveMenu contact page.
